Abstract
High-purity and bulk-quantity boron nitride spheres have been successfully synthesized at 1400 °C via a polymer-chemical route with about 40% yield. The as-prepared products were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectrometry, scanning electron microscopy, conventional transmission electron microscopy and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy. The results show that the fabricated BN spheres have a uniform diameter distribution.
