Abstract

The development of active layer materials is pivotal for advancing organic solar cells (OSCs). In this study, a new dimeric acceptor, DY-Qx, was synthesized using Qx-linker. DY-Qx exhibits a broad absorption spectrum. When blended with the star donor PM6, DY-Qx demonstrates potential for achieving high open-circuit voltage (VOC) and short-circuit current density (JSC). This work provides a strategic approach to designing dimeric acceptors by incorporating novel linking blocks, paving the way for high-efficiency organic solar cells.
