Survey of optical see-through head-mounted displays calibration

Abstract

Calibration of optical see-through head-mounted displays (OSTHMD) is a key issue in augmented reality domain. Key technologies of OSTHMD calibration are reviewed, including calibration requirements, computational models, calibration methods, evaluation methods, development trends and application fields. Two important practical calibration methods, that based on single point active alignment method and image respectively, are presented in more details.
