Abstract

Super-resolution image restoration can reconstruct spatial frequencies information above the limit frequency to get more details of image. The theories of super-resolution-analytic extrapolation, information overlap and nonlinear operation as well as concept and factors of super-resolution performance were described. Super-resolution algorithms that include single frame and multi-frame restoration were introduced. The directions of future research were proposed.
