Abstract

High-temperature proton exchange membrane fuel cells (HT-PEMFCs) exhibit high efficiency and fuel adaptability but face Pt cathode catalyst degradation caused by phosphate poisoning. We mitigate this by integrating a sulfonated covalent organic framework (COF) into a Pt catalyst. Electrochemical tests demonstrate enhanced catalytic activity under high-phosphate-concentration conditions after introducing the sulfonated COF.
