Abstract
The structure of IR-LCLV(infrared liquid crystal light valve) and its optics modulation mechanism were introduced. The influence of IR-LCLV parameter on its optics modulating characteristic was analyzed by used the calculation formulae on output light reflectivity. The relation between the twist angle and thickness of the whole layer liquid crystal molecule and the modulation capacity of IR-LCLV were calculated through theory. The parameters fit for the simulation in the range of MWIR and LWIR was put forward.
