Study on the measurement method of ultrasonic transducer electrical impedance

Abstract

The direct measurement method which can measure the ultrasonic transducer electrical impedance is proposed which meets the measurement requirement when measuring the ultrasonic transducer electrical impedance. Based on the generation and reception model of ultrasonic transducer the model of direct measurement method is developed. The value of electrical impedance of transducer which acts at the working status is calculated. The effects of working medium cable and impulse voltage are analyzed and the condition which must be met when measuring the transducer electrical impedance is presented. The feasibility of the direct measurement method the correctness of theoretical analysis and the measurement condition are proved by the experiments.
