Abstract

Extended-Range Electric Vehicle (E-REV) is one of the most feasible transitions from fossil-powered cars to pure electric vehicles, since the technologies of battery need further development. A possible solution of E-REV is introduced in this passage, which also provides methods of designing and selection of key components in the powertrain system. The design is based on the performance requirements, including driving motor, battery system and range extender.
