Study on multi-pulse of high power electro-optical Q-switched Nd:YAG laser

Abstract

A electric-optical Q-switch pulse-array Nd:YAG laser output with high energy is obtained. Timing of the pulse, pulse repetition, pulse number, pulse interval time can be adjusted. Repetition frequency 1~10 Hz can be regulated. There are three pulse every multi-pulse, and the interval is greater than 200 μs. The typical results, the maximum energy of the multi-pulse is up to 608 mJ, the double-pulse is 405 mJ and the single-pulse is 200 mJ when the interval of the pulse is 548 μs. The single pulse width is 8 ns and the divergence is 3.4 mrad.
