Abstract
We study a new metal-magnetic memory testing method applied in stress corrosion. Pipeline steel X70 is used and stretched or bent to create different states of stresses. Magnetic memory testing instrument are then applied. Superficial states of stress deformation on these specimens are thus evaluated and analyzed. This offers a foundation for studying the relation of stress and corrosion in stress corrosion experiments.
