Study on interactive virtual assembly path planning and optimal method

Abstract

A human-computer-interaction based assembly path planning method was presented in virtual assembly environment. A path optimal algorithm for the path planning method was given. The optimal algorithm was based on virtual assembly path node projection, and could eliminate the assembly path fluctuation, which was caused by the lack of haptic feeling. Application and experimental results manifest that the proposed method is efficient and feasible and can fulfill the requirements of virtual assembly system.
