Abstract

A dendritic bonding agent (DBA) that could coat RDX filler successfully was reported. The coating properties were characterized by SEM, XPS and Micro infrared. DBA forms a layer of viscous film on the surface of RDX; the coating degree can be up to 100% from XPS analysis. Micro infrared analysis indicates that H-bond is formed between DBA and NO2 groups, and it proves that DBA is available for coating RDX.
