Abstract
This paper presents a hardware implementation method for an 18 pulses similar sine wave advanced static var generator (ASVG) pulse generator using store logic. The real operation shows that the pulse generator is accurate, non-phase noise and reliable, and solves the problems of non-symmetry and VAR control non-smoothness, The pulse generator has been applied to industrial ASVG. The main technology of the pulse generator has high stability, high accuracy, and non-phase noise multiple frequency pulse source. The implementation method for such a pulse source is also presented. The pulse generator is able to apply in other GTO inverters as well.
