Abstract

Electric throttle control for hybrid electric vehicle is studied. The structure and mathematical model of the electric throttle are analyzed. The proportion integration differentiation(PID) control and sliding mode control based on reaching law are introduced and simulated on Matlab/Simulink. The controller using the PID and sliding mode control strategy is developed and tested on an ISG HEV. The test showed that sliding mode control is more robust and responds more rapidly than PID control.
