Abstract

The steering simulation was conducted by using MATLAB/Simulink on the basis of analyzing the steering process of a hydrostatic drive tracked vehicle. Total power the vehicle consumes, motor load torque and system pressure in in-situ steering are all the maximal in three steering conditions. Independent steering is to be adopted in small radius steering, which can make the driver step accelerator pedal to increase average speed and improve vehicle mobility in the case of completing the steering. Differential steering is to be adopted in modified steering, which provides excellent system dynamic characteristics.
