Study on correcting ability of trajectory correction fuze for spin stabilized projectiles

Abstract

Firstly, the correcting feasibility of the fuze was analyzed. Then, the force expression was given through the force analysis while the projectile canard was functioning. By researching the equation of attack angle, the expression of the yaw of repose while the projectile canard was functioning was derived. Based on the expression and the analysis of the correction force, the calculation formula of the correction force was given. According to this, the correcting ability for a spin stabilized projectile was emulated. Finally, the result shows that the correcting ability is enough by using the selected canard.
