Abstract

Combined with damage characteristics of soft targets, a kind of composite explosive (be composed of AN, Al powder, liquid function additive and sensitizer) with good damage performance was studied. Based on the theoretical calculation and experiments, the design of composite explosive prescription was carried out. The results show that the explosion process can be divided into several stages with the properties of volume explosion and dispersion explosion, and absorbed oxygen in air to attend exothermic reaction, so the duration of explosion reaction increases prominently than that of general explosive, and explosion power can reach 2.0 times of TNT equivalence.
