Abstract
Test-bed experiment performance of an electronic-control diesel-natural gas (dual-fuel) engine was studied. In the test, fuel mass entered into the cylinder was controlled by controlling the electromagnetism pulse width, and the engine was ignited by a little amount of diesel fuel to reach the performance of a dual-fuel diesel engine. The experiment result indicates that the engine's power and overall emission performance are improved; CNG alternative rates is over 85%. This technique that the CNG is injected into the system at multi-point can further improve the engine overall performance.
