Abstract
The enthalpy of solution and thermokinetic behavior of 2,4,6-trinitro-1 ,3-benzenediol (TNR) dissolved in the common solvent alcohol (EtOH) are determined with SETARAM C80 calorimeter at 298. 15 K. The empirical formula describing the enthalpy of solution of the studied compounds dissolved in alcohol is obtained. The resulting formula is △sol H = 30. 108 + 4756. 046-616. 61961/2. From the formula, the empirical formulas describing the standard molar enthalpy of solution △solH 0m (6 = 0)), the relative apparent molar enthalpy of solution (ΦL1) and the relative partial molar enthalpy (L,) are obtained. The kinetic formula of the dissolution reaction is X=-6. 50613 + 0. 5678x, from which the reaction order (n) and reaction rate constant (k) of the reaction are deduced as:n = 0. 56875; k = l. 94×10-3S -1.
