Abstract

The paramagnetic properties of the endohedral fullerene Sc 3C2@C80 are adjustable by exohedral modification by the Prato reaction (see picture). Analysis of spin densities and endocluster dynamics reveal unique paramagnetic properties of the Sc 3C2@C80 fulleropyrrolidine and provide general Insight Into the addenddependent paramagnetic behavior of endohedral fullerenes.
