Abstract

We propose an extended enhanced Gaussian noise (EGN) model for accurate nonlinear interference estimation in hybrid G.652/G.653/G. 655 fiber systems. The model achieves less than 0.2 dB absolute error in normalized nonlinear interference (NLI) power compared to the split-step Fourier method (SSFM) across 100,200 and 400 Gbps transmissions.
