Abstract

For the two-speed shift control of an electric vehicle, a dry dual clutch structure is proposed and designed, which combines both open and close diaphragm springs. The working characteristics of the two types diaphragm springs are analyzed. The dynamic performances of dual clutch shifting process are analyzed and a vehicle dynamics model is built by Matlab/Simulink. In the model, fuzzy control is used for the clutch engagement and disengagement control and the shifting process is simulated. The simulation results show that the system structure and control methods can achieve the precise control of dry dual clutch engagement and disengagement speed, and they also ensure the shifting smoothly and high shifting quality.
