Abstract

Self-organized time division multiple access (S-TDMA) protocol provides long transmission procedures and short transmission procedures for point-to-point communication. A S-TDMA datalink network simulation platform based on OPNET Modeler was developed. Simulations on throughput, average message delay and average message discarding rate for the long transmission procedures and short transmission procedures were conducted with different traffic and retransmission parameters, and simulation results were analyzed.
