Abstract
Performance analysis of datalink protocols is one of the important segments in designing wireless networks. A Self-organization Time Division Multiple Access (S-TDMA) datalink network simulation framework based on OPNET was developed to simulate data broadcast applications of Aviation Mobile Communications (AMC). With the detailed deployment of models for physical layer, link layer and application layer, this framework could simulate much protocol performance such as end-to-end delay, throughput, reservation conflict rate by configuring various channel properties and application scenarios. Thus, it could be conveniently used to choose optimal operation solutions for the datalink network.
