Abstract

Corporate Information Factory (CIF) is a new paradigm to deliver business intelligence and business management capabilities driven by data from various business operations. A four-layer architecture of data organization of CIF supporting business management and decision-making on different management levels is presented. A general data mining system, ScopeMiner, based on this architecture is designed and implemented, which consists of the data processing module including data extraction/integration/transformation, data marts construction, and data cube building, the domain-specific data mining module, the pattern module, the on-line analytical processing (OLAP) module, the Web-based reporting and statistical analysis module, and the exploratory data analysis module. Practical applications show that the system can meet the need of production decision analysis of large modernized manufacturing enterprises.
