Abstract
Soft open point (SOP) is a novel power electronic device installed in place of normally open point. The application of SOP improves the controllability of power flows in active distribution network, thus further enhances the economy, flexibility and reliability of system. Both DG outputs and load demands are with strong randomness and volatility, which are hard to predict precisely. Therefore, a deterministic operation strategy of SOP may be not suitable for practical system operation. In this paper, considering the uncertainties of DGs and loads, a two-stage robust optimization model is proposed to realize the robust operation of SOP. The robust model is solved by column-and-constraint generation algorithm, where the master problem and subproblem are formulated as second-order cone programs. Case studies on the IEEE 69-node system are conducted to verify the effectiveness of the proposed model.
