Robust nonlinear control of a hypersonic aircraft based on sliding mode control

Abstract

For the characteristic of the longitudinal model of a hypersonic aircraft containing strong coupling and uncertainty, a sliding mode controller with an improved approach exponential law, using feedback linear model was designed. The controller can solve the strong coupling and uncertainty of the longitudinal model, track the velocity step input and height step input with zero tracking error, and eliminate the control chattering. The control system has nice robustness.
