Residual stress measurement system of bend tube based on DSCM

Abstract

In order to study the residual stress of bend tube, a method based on digital speckle correlation method is proposed, and a measurement system has been constructed. The radial residual strain on a 90° elbow bend was measured; and the strain-gage method was used as a reference. Measurement result verifies that the digital speckle correlation method can measure the residual stress of the tube. Experiment result shows that this method not only guarantees the measurement accuracy, but also improves the measurement efficiency. This method provides a basis for the further study on the influence of the residual stress of tube on processing technology.
