Abstract

In this paper, an enhanced surface surveillance method named as multilateration is introduced. Its system architecture and advantages are summarized and compared with traditional radar. Based on the original multilateration algorithm and Bancroft's algorithm, a new positioning solution is proposed and analyzed. Simulation results show that the new algorithm is feasible and multilateration technology is applicable in the enhanced surface surveillance.
