Abstract
In order to address global climate change, China has put forward the double carbon target and accelerated the construction of a new power system with new energy as the mainstay. In this context, this article analyzes and summarizes the new forms and requirements faced by the East China region in the construction of new power systems, and outlines the situation of various provinces and cities in the East China region in the construction of new power systems, including the progress and goals of Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, and Fujian. Furthermore, a development path for the construction of a new power system in the East China region was proposed, with 2030, 2045, and 2060 as key time nodes. The future construction of a new power system was also discussed to help achieve the goals of carbon peak and carbon neutrality.
