Abstract

In this paper, we analyze the force of skiers in the process of alpine skiing. Then a kinematic model of the skier is established by abstracting the skier as a mass point. We design a kind of washout algorithm based on MPC (Model Predictive Control) to make the ski simulator have better effect of skiing motion-cueing simulation. The motion feedback to skier is provided by Stewart platform, which is usually used as motion simulator. Compared with classic wash-out algorithm, MPC wash-out algorithm can give skiers a clearer motion feedback in portrait and lateral modes. It can bring a more realistic skiing experience to the skier. So, the effect of the MPC washout algorithm is better than that of the classical washout algorithm.
