Abstract

A pulse control algorithm based on state prediction is proposed for the missile with pulse motor as control actuator. Systematic description of the algorithm was given. Prediction model was constructed by using short-period disturbance motion equations of the missile. Cost function was established with the consideration of the overload tracking accuracy and energy consumption of the pulse motor simultaneously. Design examples and simulation results show that the pulse control algorithm designed by proposed method could ensure that the missile overload tracks the overload command given from guidance loop reliably. Also, the pulse control algorithm could lower the energy consumption of pulse motor effectively.
