Abstract

In order to enhance the damage ability and effect of fragments mode, a forming technology of composite fragments field was proposed, and the preformed fragments were combined with the liner fragments. The projectile structure of composite fragments warhead was presented. The progress of forming the composite fragments field was simulated, and the forming effects were validated by experiments. The results show that a composite fragments field can be formed by the technology. Liner fragments are in the central region of the field, and the preformed fragments are distributed in the outside ring region. Fragments are distributed equally in the field, and the radial dispersion angle of fragments reaches to 22.5°. The forming technology of composite fragments field can be used in warhead of loitering missile.
