Abstract

In order to improve the SNR of low light imaging system, the semi-conductor cooler was equipped with the ICCD, lowering temperature in real time and decreasing the space-time noise of the system. The 3D noise model was used to evaluate the action of the cooler to the ICCD noise by calculating the time domain noise, the space domain noise and the SNR of the system before and after the refrigeration. The test data validated that the semi-conductor cooler can effectively reduce the noise of the low light level imaging system.
