Abstract

The piezoelectric synthetic jet actuator was studied and used widely for its simple structure and quick response characteristics. Mechano-electro-acoustical equivalent method was applied to piezoelectric-driven synthetic jet actuator and a lumped element model (LEM) was established based on the linear composite plate theory. ANSYS and Matlab software were used to extract some key model parameters and Matlab software was used to simulate the LEM circuit. Simulation results show a good agreement with experimental results. Compared with the traditional numerical simulation method with CFD software, the method in this paper is easier, more time-saving, less resources consuming and higher efficiency.
