Abstract

For electronic commerce, security is the important problem. SSL protocol becomes supreme available because of its simplicity and credibility. The hidden trouble in application is decided by limiting factors of SSL itself and the American restrictions on cipher exporting. This paper is to offer proposals to improve SSL based on the analysis of it. On the basis of feasibility, security proxy is designed and installed at both client side and server side as the transition software, so as to ensure the security of electronic commerce. A designing of modularize is adopted to guarantee the extensibility and flexibility of security proxy. And search for a balance between security and function further. Finally, its partial process has been simulated.
