Abstract

This paper roundly summarizes OLAP and clustering technologies from the various angels of definition, algorithm, model constructing and visualization. Their essential relations and differences are taken apart. Based on that, aiming at US Issued patent databases, the systemic solving scheme that combines OLAP and clustering technologies is presented The experimental results are ideal, which indicates that the combinative method is the developing direction of data mining.
