Abstract

Aiming to the problem of high reliability index verification, a new method for verifying high reliability of initiating devices based on rigorous test is proposed. The method suggests that a few products be tested under a rigorous condition to lower their fire reliability and the reliability in the normal condition could be deduced according to those test results under rigorous condition. By this way, the number of samples could be reduced effectively. An example shows that, by using the proposed method, high reliability of initiating devices could be verified (such as 0.999) with only less than 300 samples and its reliability verification result is consistent with that by using large-sample verification. The number of needed samples in new method is about one-tenth of that in large-sample method.
