    Abstract

With the development of information technology, valuable systems for providing quality health care (QHC) has gained worldwide importance and acceptance. Pharmacy unit (PU) is a vital entity of any hospital over the globe. A strong methodology and its implementation is a bare need for an information system design and to enhance system efficiency for providing QHC. In this research work, we have conducted a reference study for Combined Military Hospital Taxila, Pakistan. Relational database modelling (RDBM) approach has been incorporated for its PU. The database has been developed for purchase, stock and invoice record management. Oracle/Developer has been used for system development. The RDBM approach for system implementation has been evaluated. The result shows that RDBM is helpful for health care improvement.
