Abstract

Some important technical aspects of designing a compression application system based on JPEG standard were discussed emphatically. A practical system which was based on PC, the CL550, an image compression processor for JPEG standard, and 82C9001 video window controller, was adopted. The structure of the application system was described and some key technical points were illustrated.
