Abstract

Introduces a real-time signal transfer and acquisition hardware for the four-element detection simulation signal system, and depicts its goal and basic elements. The hardware is designed into a PCI card which uses the PCI protocol chip S5933 made by AMCC as the bus bridge with its time sequence generated by CPLD device. It can transfer the simulated data in real-time bringing relevant data into the computer. Relevant circuits e.g. the base clock acquisition circuit, the phase shift between the clock and the trace signal acquisition circuit, the amplitude of the trace signal acquisition circuit and the simulation data output circuit, are described in some detail. The configuration of S5933 is given. Ways of developing the interface driver software are given. Data transfer speed of the card as tested reaches 22 MB/s which meets the requirements.
