Abstract

Two kinds of equivalence among three-dimensional vector sensor's polarization-angular coherence structures (PACS) with different forms are introduced. All PACSs of concern are divided into three groups according to the given equivalence definition. It is shown that the PACSs of different groups have different characters and the ambiguity region occupies only some separated points for non-linearly polarized signal of interest (SOI) but renders a continuous support for linearly polarized SOI. It is also demonstrated that the SOI of identical directions can not be completely distinguished only by 3-D PACS due to the deformity of partly induced electromagnetic components.
