Abstract

A programmable optical add/drop multiplexer (OADM) based on fiber bragg gratings (FBG) with enhanced temperature sensitivity was proposed. The ODAM was realized through control signals coming from the network management system. The proposed package technology ensured thermal tuning over a wide wavelength range and allowed dynamic routing of 16 × 10 Gb/s traffic.
