Abstract

Polycrystalline ZnSe nanospheres, single crystalline ZnSe nanorods and ZnSe quantum dots were well prepared in Triton X-100/cyclohexane/water solution. 120 nm in diameter hollow nanospheres, 1 μm length nanorods and quantum dots with 4-6 nm diameter were controllably synthesized through adjusting the added Triton X-100 content. The wall thickness of nanospheres is about 6 nm. The analysis result shows that the ZnSe nanospheres are polycrystals composed by ZnSe nanoparticles. The UV-visible spectra reveal that varied ZnSe nanostructures show different absorption characteristics.
