Abstract
Fe2O3/Al nanocomposite was prepared by sol-gel method and vacuum drying method. The structure and performance of raw material and product were characterized by IR,SEM,XRD and BET. The results show the mean macro-particle size of Fe2O3/Al nanocomposite is 2μm, nano-aluminum powder uniformly distributes in the Fe2O3 gel system, whose mean size is 40nm. The specific surface area is 64. 6m 2/g for Fe2O3 xerogel, and 1. 1m2/g for Fe2O3/Al xerogel. The impact sensitivity results show that the characteristic height H50 of modified nano-Al rises from 30. 5cm to 100. 3cm, revealing that the Fe2O3 gel can decrease the impact sensitivity of nano-Al.
