Abstract

As the biggest country of coal consumption, a large number of coal dust particles is emitted into the atmosphere every year in our country due to coal mining, transportation and storing, which led to a serious impact on the atmospheric environment and people's health and the waste of resources and economy. In this article, a new coal dust inhibitor that made of straw, starch was investigated. The factors affected the ability of the coal dust inhibitor such as viscosity and dispersion was experimented. The results showed that the optimum mass ratio of straw, starch and alkali being 10:6:0.9. Performance tests showed that the dust suppressant could work even when wind level being between 5 and 6.And the coal dust inhibitor had the better environmental, economic and social value.
