Abstract

Electrospinning has been recognized as an efficient technique for the fabrication of polymer fibers which can produce fibers in a diameter down to nanometers. Most nanofibers obtained so far are in non-woven form, which can be useful for relatively small number of applications. However, one dimensional nano-strutures have received considerable attention due to their unique characteristics and potential applications. In this paper, we described some techniques which have can produce aligned electrospun nanofibers. Then, the effect of electrospun parameter, such as the strength of the electrical field applied, the concentration of the polymer solution, and the accepted distance on the preparation process was studied; Last, the theory for the preparation of a aligned electrospun nanofibers and properties of resulted parallel nylon-6 fiber were studied.
