Preparation and properties of SiO2/PA6 composites

Abstract

The application of poly(amidoamine)(PAMAM) dendrimer as a surface treatment agent of inorganic particle was discussed. The microstructure, mechanical properties and rheological properties of SiO2/PA6 composites with SiO2 treated by different PAMAM generations and different PAMAM contents were investigated. It was shown that the dispersing condition of SiO2 treated by PAMAM was improved obviously, the reinforcing action of SiO2 was enhanced, and the rheological properties of SiO2/PAMAM/PA6 composites were also improved.
