Abstract

Catalytic production of hydrogen by steam reforming of ethanol has been studied on a series of CeO2 promoted Ni/γ-Al2O3 catalyst. The catalysts all exhibited higher H2 yield and CO2 selectivity. The CH4 selectivity and CO selectivity were kept under a low level. At 600°C the H2 yield on the 16%Ni/CeO2/-γ-Al2O3 can reach 4.8, the selectivity of CO2, CO and CH4 was 70.7%, 21% and 7%.
