Abstract

The coordination compound of {[Sr(CHZ)2(H2O)] ·(NTO)2·3.5H2O}n was prepared by mixing carbohydrazide aqueous solution and strontium salt solution which was obtained through the reaction of strontium carbonate and 3-nitro-1, 2, 4-triazolo-5-one (NTO). The compound was characterized by using elemental analysis and FT-IR. The crystal structure of {[Sr(CHZ)2(H 2O)]·(NTO)2·3.5H2O}n (C6H23SrN16O12.5, Mr = 607.02) was determined by using single-crystal diffraction. The crystal is of monoclinic, space group C2/c with the unit cell parameters: a = 24.587(5), b = 12.689(2), c = 16.481(4) Å, β = 121.15(1)°, V = 4400.4(2)Å3, Z = 8, Dc = 1.833 g/cm3, μ = 0.255cm-1, F(000) = 2472, R = 0.0989 and wR = 0.0750.
